LUCY'S ART CLUB

Frequently asked questions

Q. I can’t/don’t draw or paint, can I come?

A. Yes! We are open to artists and creatives of all disciplines and experience levels

Q. I’d love to come but I am not neurodivergent or disabled- can I join?

A. Absolutely- we are fully inclusive and open to everyone 18+

Q. Can I meet you first and see the Gallery before the club starts?

A. We will be holding a meet and greet at TT88 which will include a tour of the building and the opportunity to meet with Lucy and Dale. This will take place on Sunday 30th June from 1 pm - 3 pm, please feel free to drop in and say hi! Please note this session is not covered by the travel bursary.

Q. I’m nervous about coming, can I bring someone with me to the club?

A. We have 3 free places for carers/supporters available on a first come, first served basis. Contact us for more information. We offer a meet and greet so you can come and meet us before the club starts, and have a look around the building. If this is not appropriate, please email lucy@lucysartclub.co.uk to arrange an online meeting via Zoom.

Q. Are materials provided?

A. While materials are provided for our activities, we can’t provide digital equipment. Please feel free to bring your own if you prefer (laptops, tablets, cameras, etc.). Also feel free to bring your own materials to take notes if you wish.

Q. Can I get help towards the cost of making my work for the exhibition?

A. We will cover applying for funding in one of our sessions which can help towards these costs. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that everyone's bid will be successful.

Q. I have accessibility issues, will they be catered for?

A. Please see our Accessibility and Venue Accessibility pages for details of the Gallery and surrounding area.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to cater for every accessibility issue. We are primarily neurodivergent- friendly, so most of our adjustments are those that most neurodivergent people will find useful. If you want any more information before signing up, email lucy@lucysartclub.co.uk Everyone will receive an accessibility survey on signing up which will provide us with information to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

Q. Can I take part if I can’t come to the in person art club at TT88?

A. Yes, we have designed the art club to work virtually for those who cannot attend in person. All presentations and material will be uploaded to the Members Area after each session, and we have monthly catch ups online via Zoom where we can keep in touch.

Q. I struggle with online meetings- are they compulsory?

A. No, these are optional. You can also attend these meetings to observe with your camera and microphone turned off.

Q. Do you have a safeguarding policy?

A. Yes, it can be found here: Safeguarding
