LUCY'S ART CLUB

Accessibility

Lucy’s Art Club hopes to foster an inclusive environment for neurodivergent individuals. This begins with the accessibility survey in which attendees will be able to make their needs known in order for Lucy’s Art Club to facilitate their attendance. Lucy’s Art Club hopes to provide reasonable adjustments for anyone who hopes to attend, with the greater aim of providing a comfortable environment for the whole group.

The personal profile also exists to allow attendees to not only introduce themselves ahead of the group, but allow attendees a chance to know who they will be meeting ahead of the first session. Lucy herself is autistic and the directors of the gallery are both neurodivergent, providing Lucy’s Art Club with an open and accessible perspective.

All of the accommodations on offer hope to reduce anxiety around attending a new location around new people, which is often very difficult for neurodivergent people. In providing space and support to share the details of their conditions, Lucy’s Art Club will be a place that encourages and opens up artistic creativity for its members.

While Lucy’s Art Club wishes to provide an accessible location, limitations with the Turntable Gallery affects the accommodations that can be offered for physical disabilities. The Turntable Gallery does not have a wheelchair accessible bathroom, and may be difficult for some disabilities to navigate. Please see Venue Accessibility for more details.

If you have physical disabilities and still wish to attend, some accommodations may be possible, please contact Lucy@lucysartclub.co.uk for more information.
