About Lucy’s Art Club

Lucy’s Art Club is a six month programme focussed on the history, creation, and distribution of art. It involves six sessions at the Turntable Gallery, as well as online meetings that will allow attendees to learn more about art and work towards exhibiting their own work in a group exhibition at the end of the course.

Over the six months, Lucy’s Art Club hopes to give attendees a grounding in the art world, and allow them to explore art history, creative expression, conceptualising their own work, critiquing their work, funding and selling their work, and exhibiting their work.

Lucy’s Art Club aims to provide an inclusive space for attendees, specifically to allow neurodivergent individuals an opportunity to interact with art and produce their own. Everyone involved in the course’s creation is neurodivergent, and hopes to open up the art world to more people.

A key part of Lucy’s Art Club is making accommodations for individuals to feel comfortable attending the gallery itself, with a travel bursary available for attendees with accessibility issues and support in feeling comfortable within the gallery environment itself. Lucy’s Art Club also aims to provide connections between attendees themselves in order to foster this inclusive environment!
